2026 School Theme - Coherence
Dear Westbreen PS Families,
Expos and Gallery Walks
Over the next few weeks, many of our classes will be showcasing their learning with parents/carers and their peers. Your child's teacher will send a message via Xuno with the details as relevant to each year level. For Child Safe reasons, we ask that all visitors sign in when visiting our school. For whole school events such as our Learning Expos where there are lots of attendees, there will be a sign in sheet and VIP Visitors stickers at each classroom, rather than the usual sign in process at the office.
New phone system
Our phone system had to be upgraded and as a result the voice greeting has changed. Please listen carefully to the options. When you call the office, you will be greeted with the following message:
"Welcome to Westbreen Primary School
If you are calling regarding a student absence, please log your child's absence via Xuno, or Dial 1
Otherwise, please hold for Reception, Thank you."
If you do not dial 1, you will be connected through to the office.
Interschool Sports Semi-Finals
Last Friday, our Girls Softball and Mixed Cricket teams played in semi-final matches. Both teams had excellent form throughout the season and were well deserving of their qualification into the semi-finals. Congratulations to our participating students for showing excellent sportsmanship and giving their best efforts. We are thrilled to announce that our Girls Softball team won their game and will now be in the District Finals! Good luck girls!
Volunteers needed!
Please make sure to read the 'Community News' page - it is filled with photos of our students and community, posters and flyers advertising special events as well as requests for support. We are looking for volunteers for the Breakfast Club program and Canteen. Without your support, these valuable services provided to our school community will be very difficult to maintain. Egg-stravaganza Raffle
The raffle is being drawn at assembly tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone who have purchased raffle tickets. Also, orders for the Hot Cross Bun Drive closed today. They will be delivered to school next week on Wednesday the 1st of April. They will be distributed to the classrooms for students to take home.
Harmony Day next Tuesday
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. At Westbreen PS, we will now be celebrating Harmony Day on Tuesday March 31st, 2026. Students are encouraged to wear traditional cultural clothing, national icon, flag colours or wear something orange, which is the colour of Harmony Week. There will be activities for students on the day to help celebrate the diversity we are so proud of in our school community.
