Student Volunteer Opportunity – Mother’s Day Classic 2026
Hi,
I’m reaching out to share a meaningful student volunteer opportunity at the Mother’s Day Classic 2026, a much-loved community event that raises funds and awareness for vital breast and ovarian cancer research. Held on Sunday 10 May (Mother’s Day), the event brings communities together to walk or run in support of those affected by these cancers.
Each year, thousands of participants take part across Australia, volunteers play a huge role in creating the welcoming, positive atmosphere that makes the event so special.
We’re currently inviting students and school communities to get involved as participants and volunteers. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to:
- Support an important cause that impacts many families
- Gain community service or volunteer experience
- Be part of a large, uplifting community event
- Work alongside a diverse group of volunteers and event staff
Volunteer roles are open to people of all ages and abilities. There are many roles such as getting walkers and runners underway from the start, greeting them at the finish line and cheering them on in between, creating a fun and friendly environment for everyone attending.
If your students or school community would be interested in participating, I’d love to share more details and how to sign up.
Thank you for considering our invitation. We look forward to the possibility of your school's involvement in this year’s Mother’s Day Classic!
Kind regards,Nicole - 0421931140
