Welcome Back!
Welcome back to Term 3! We hope all of our students and families had a wonderful break, enjoyed some time together, and have returned feeling refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning.
Term 3 is shaping up to be another busy and exciting one at Orchard Park Primary School. Students have so much to look forward to this term, including sporting events such as HoopTime, the Division Winter Sport Finals and District Athletics, along with our Prep students celebrating 100 Days of School, the Prep Farm Excursion, Year 4 Camp, the Year 6 Incursion, and our much anticipated Book Week celebrations in Week 7.
There are also plenty of opportunities for families to get involved throughout the term, with our annual Trivia Night and our Father's Day Breakfast later in the term.
We look forward to another fantastic term of learning, connection and celebration.

Friday 31st July – Social Emotional Learning at OPPS
For families interested in supporting learning within our school, Parent Helper Information Sessions will continue to run from 1:15pm – 1:30pm immediately prior to each parent information session.
We encourage all families to come along and learn more about the approaches we use at Orchard Park Primary School to support student learning and wellbeing.
OPPS Trivia Night
Our annual Trivia Night is back! Gather your family and friends for what promises to be another fantastic evening filled with laughs, friendly competition and plenty of fun. This is one of our favourite community events of the year and a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families while supporting our school.
Please note this is an adults only event.

Celebrating 100 Days of School!
Our Prep students are about to reach an exciting milestone as they celebrate 100 Days of School on Monday 27th July.
Students are invited to come dressed as though they are 100 years old—think grey hair, glasses, walking sticks, cardigans and lots of creativity! We can't wait to see all of the wonderful costumes.
Families are warmly invited to join us between 8:35am and 8:50am to help kick off the celebrations. This will be a fantastic opportunity to take photos before our Prep students participate in a special costume parade through the Learning Community laneway.
Throughout the day, students will enjoy a variety of fun learning activities centred around the number 100 as they celebrate just how much they have learnt and achieved during their first 100 days of school.
Parents and carers are also invited to return for our Open Classroom Afternoon from 2:15pm–3:00pm, where you'll be able to explore your child's learning, view their work and participate in a special 100 Days activity together.
We look forward to celebrating this wonderful milestone with our Prep students and families.
NAIDOC Week
This week, our students have been recognising and celebrating NAIDOC Week, an important opportunity to acknowledge the history, cultures, achievements and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The 2026 NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years of Deadly", celebrates five decades of NAIDOC Week and recognises the strength, resilience and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Throughout the week, students have explored the stories and achievements of inspirational First Nations Australians during our daily student bulletins.

Friday: Sam Richards
These learning experiences have encouraged students to deepen their understanding of Australia's First Nations peoples, celebrate their achievements and reflect on the importance of listening, learning and showing respect for culture and Country.
Keeping Everyone Safe
As we begin another busy term, we'd like to remind everyone of a few important safety expectations to help keep our school community safe.
Please remember that staff supervision begins at 8:30am, so students should not arrive before this time unless they are attending Kelly Club Before School Care.
When dropping off or collecting your child, please follow all road rules and parking signage. The designated drop-off zone is for quick drop-off and pick-up only and vehicles should never be left unattended. Parking on median strips or in unsafe locations reduces visibility and places students at risk.
Finally, we encourage students to continue riding and scooting to school where possible. Please ensure your child wears a helmet and regularly discuss safe travel habits, including using crossings, watching for traffic and riding respectfully around pedestrians.
