Celebrating 60 Years of Mount View Primary School

Next week, we look forward to celebrating 60 years of Mount View. Throughout the week, students will take part in a range of learning activities to explore the history of our school, reflect on who we are as individuals and as a community, and consider who we want to be in the future. Our Visual Arts team is leading a special project with all students to create a collaborative artwork to commemorate this milestone. On Friday, we will gather on the oval for a whole school photo, and on Thursday after school, we invite all families to join us for a community BBQ to celebrate 60 years of Mount View. A huge thank you to our Community Engagement Committee, our dedicated staff, and our community volunteers for helping make this event possible.

Year 6 Exhibition

The Year 6 Exhibition is an important event on our school calendar, and we look forward to welcoming families into the school on Thursday evening. The Exhibition celebrates the learning and achievements of our students and is a key component of our IB Primary Years Programme. Our Year 6 students have been working diligently on their inquiry projects, demonstrating their skills as thinkers, communicators, and inquirers. We extend our thanks to the Year 6 teaching team and to the many staff members who have supported students as mentors throughout this journey.

World Teachers’ Day

Today we celebrated World Teachers’ Day which is a special opportunity to recognise the incredible dedication and care our teachers show every day. Our parents generously provided a beautiful morning tea to mark the occasion, and we were treated to heartfelt speeches from our School Captains and School Council President. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a special celebration..

Innovators DayThere was an enthusiastic buzz all around the school during this week’s Innovator’s Day! It was a day filled with curiosity, creativity, thinking, and investigation. I am grateful to our teachers and support staff for supporting our students to have such a successful and inspiring day of learning.
