Dear students, parents and guardians,

As we near the end of another great year at Red Cliffs Secondary College, I am proud of all we have achieved together. In 2025, our growth, teamwork, and commitment to student success have been evident in everything we do. Our accomplishments are the result of our hard-working students, dedicated staff, and supportive families.

This week, we are very proud to unveil our brand-new toilet, bathroom and shower facilities in our Activity Centre. We were the successful applicants for a $500,000 VSBA grant aimed at improving our deteriorating changerooms. This week, we officially opened the new facilities for student use. This is a tremendous upgrade, and we now have state-of-the-art amenities for our students to enjoy.

Last week, our Year 12 students finished their VCE exams. I would like to congratulate all Year 12 students on successfully completing their secondary education. This milestone was celebrated with a Year 12 Graduation Dinner held at the Red Cliffs Club last Thursday night. It was fantastic to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our departing Year 12 students, and we wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.

The ‘Get Reddy’ come-and-try sessions have been very well received by our local primary schools and our 2026 Year 7 students. We have received extremely positive feedback, and these experiences will lead into our Year 7 Orientation Day on Tuesday, 9 December.  We are also running Orientation sessions this week and next week for students moving from Year 10 into 11 and Year 11 into 12. This is a great way for students to get prepared and set up for VCE at Red Cliffs Secondary College.

Student subject lists have been handed out, along with information for families regarding the 2026 booklist. The college is pleased to advise that Lilydale Books has been appointed as our official booklist supplier for the 2026 school year. All booklist orders are to be completed online at: www.lilydalebooks.com.au/schools/red-cliffs-secondary-college

Today we have our Middle School Swimming Pool Day at the Red Cliffs Swimming Pool, with our Junior School Pool Day coming up on Friday, 12th December. This is a great way to round off the year with a fun day at the pool.

Our Year 9 students are set for two weeks of Work Experience, commencing on Monday, 1st December.  Alana Hastie, our Careers and Pathways Co-ordinator, has done a fantastic job ensuring all students are prepared for a valuable experience developing real-life, work-related skills.

As always, we have our annual Awards Night coming up on Wednesday, 11th December from 6:00pm at the Mildura Arts Centre. Planning and preparation is well underway, with information and reminders being shared with students who are required to attend. We welcome all students and parents to join us for a wonderful evening celebrating the achievements and success of our students.

Thank you all for your continued support over the course of the year. We look forward to finishing the year with many more highlights and celebrations across our school community.
