Team Kids Update
As families who utilise the Team Kids before/afterschool care or vacation care service would be aware, an important staffing update has been announced.
Nilay has made the decision to relocate to Queensland and will continue her journey with TeamKids at another service. While we are sad to see her leave Bell Primary School, we are excited for her as she begins this next chapter. Her final day with us will be next Friday, 13 March. On this day we will farewell Nilay as a school community at our assembly.
Although Nilay has been part of our community for less than a year, the impact she has made has been truly significant. Her positive energy, genuine care, and strong leadership have had a meaningful effect on children, families, and educators alike. She has formed valuable relationships and helped create a warm, welcoming environment that reflects her commitment to the program. We sincerely thank her for everything she has contributed and wish her all the very best for the future.
Recruiting the next Director of Service is a priority for Team Kids, and they are dedicated to finding the right person for our community. During this transition, Hayley, one of Team Kids’ experienced Mentor Directors of Service, will step into the interim role from Monday 9 March. She will work alongside Nilay during her final week to support a smooth and positive handover. Our current educator team will remain in place, providing ongoing continuity and stability for children and families.
Curriculum Day
While our students are enjoying an extra-long weekend, staff are busy continuing to drive school improvement and progress against our Annual Implementation Plan (AIP).
Teachers and leaders have come together in working parties to focus on key priorities, including refining instructional practices, enhancing wellbeing approaches and strengthening assessment data practices. These collaborative sessions allow staff to plan, reflect, and make evidence-informed decisions that will directly benefit student learning and wellbeing.
This dedicated time ensures our students experience learning environments that are carefully planned, engaging and responsive to their needs. It also supports the ongoing development of staff expertise, ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for every student.
Bell Blitz Success
Once again, a big thank you to the 40+ families who came out to the Bell Blitz last weekend! Together, we accomplished so much, and every effort was sincerely appreciated.
Families undertook a range of jobs, including mulching, weeding, watering and general tidying, making a real difference to our school grounds.
Your time and effort have helped make our school cleaner, greener and more welcoming for everyone, and we are truly grateful for your ongoing support in providing the best environment for our students.
Wishing our families a wonderful long weekend.

NAPLAN and GTKY Interviews
As we approach NAPLAN, we would like remind families that students in Grades 3 and 5 will complete testing between Wednesday 11 March and Monday 23 March. Information has already been shared via Compass, and we encourage you to take a moment to read through it if you have not already.
At Bell, we always aim to make this time feel as calm and normal as possible for our students. We know that children do their best when they feel safe, supported and settled, so we work hard to keep the experience familiar and low-stress, while also following the guidelines that all schools are required to meet.
Outside of NAPLAN learning and the school day goes on as normal.
