SCIENCE: 'Food and Fibre' analysing soil

In Science this term, 5/6 S are focusing on the importance of food and fibre and how they can be produced sustainably.

The students are learning about how food and fibre are grown in managed environments to promote health and nutrition. They are exploring sustainable farming practices and understanding how they contribute to long-term environmental health. Last week our young scientists investigated soil samples to determine the best conditions for growing healthy crops. This hands-on approach helps them appreciate the role of soil quality in sustainable food production and how it impacts the food we eat every day.
