Our St Gabriel's Primary School Acting Principal
Dear Families,
Term 4 is flying by! We hope that all families enjoyed the beautiful weather over the long weekend and had some time to rest and relax together. Monday the 18th of November is a school closure day. Our focus on this day will be planning for 2025 and building our knowledge and capacity in explicit teaching and learning. We truly value this time together as a staff as it always strengthens our practice and ensures that we are prepared in the best way possible for next year.
We have had a great start for our 2025 Prep children through the Transition and Headstart sessions- we give a huge thank you to all the educators who have been leading these sessions. The 2025 Prep children have settled into our school environment in such a positive way. We are very excited for the future.
We are currently finalising our staffing and hub educators for 2025. We look forward to sharing this with you in the coming weeks.
If your family is moving on from St Gabriel’s in 2025, we ask that you please email office@sgreservoir.catholic.edu.au and inform us that your child/ren won’t be attending St Gabriel’s so that we can update our school records.
We are beginning some small scale renovations in our school. Our music room will be refreshed with new carpet, paint and cabinetry. This room will then hold our music equipment and library books and resources. Music and Library will take place in this room. The current 1/2 target room and the Italian/Library room will be renovated and opened up to make bright new spacious learning areas for our Year 1 and 2 children in 2025.
We continue to hold the Auburn Primary School community in our thoughts and prayers after the tragic accident. We have reached out to the community and offered our prayers and support during this very difficult time. It is a stark reminder that driving around any school area must always be done with the utmost care and safety for all in mind. We ask that all parents and family members drive safely, with care and patience when picking up and dropping off children to St Gabriel’s.
