Year 6 Graduation

Who can believe there are only 3 more weeks of the 2026 school year? This means that there is only 15 more primary school days for our Year 6 students, not accounting for Year 7 Orientation Day which is on Tuesday 9th December.

Preparations are well underway for their graduation which will take place on Tuesday 16th December. This will be an opportunity for students, families and staff to celebrate the contribution these students have made to Albion North Primary School over the last 7 years. More information will be sent home with the Year 6 students early next week.

Library Upgrade

Over the recent weeks there have been some library upgrades taking place. There has recently been new carpet laid and today the acoustic paneling on the walls was installed as well as some new furniture, including curved seating and bookshelves were delivered.

Once all completed and set up, with all of the books put back on shelves it will be a fantastic space for the staff and students to share their love of books.

School Drop Off and Pick Up

The streets surrounding our school are extremely busy, especially during the peak times of school drop off and pick up. As there is limited parking around the school we understand it can be difficult to find a parking space during these times, however we are wanting all of our students to be safe at all times and during these peak hours we have seen some situations that are concerning regarding road safety.

Please ensure that you drop off your children appropriately, by parking in appropriate areas and particularly not 'double parking'. Many of the children are still developing their road sense and due to the unpredictability of cars and drivers they do not have full awareness of their surroundings. We have witnessed some unsafe situations with students running across roads to cars, students encouraged to enter a car that is in the middle of the road, all of which are extremely dangerous. We constantly reinforce safe behaviours at school and encourage all families to reinforce this at home, not only by talking to your children and modelling the appropriate behaviours, but by also not encouraging students to take unnecessary and unsafe risks when dropping them off or picking them up after school.

Thank you for your assistance in keeping everyone safe around the roads.

Have a wonderful weekend.
