Mr Hyatt

Welcome Back Everyone!

A warm welcome back to Term 2! I trust you all enjoyed a wonderful break, a joyous Easter, and precious time spent with family and friends. Personally, I'm still recovering from my Aussie Camino journey through Victoria and South Australia – my legs certainly haven't forgotten all that walking! It was an absolutely fantastic experience, and I highly recommend the trail to anyone seeking a rewarding adventure. Looking ahead at the Term 2 calendar, it's clear we have a very busy and engaging term ahead, with numerous events and activities involving many members of our school community in the coming weeks.

A big congratulations to Phoebe Grills, the lucky winner of our 'Principal for the Day' raffle drawn on the final day of Term 1! Well done, Phoebe! We look forward to welcoming Phoebe soon as she takes on her special role, complete with a principal's tie and blazer, and spends the day assisting me with various tasks in my office. It will be fascinating to see what innovative ideas Phoebe brings when she has the chance to set the school rules for the day. A special thank you to Archer, Ella, and Harry F from our Mini Vinnies for their dedicated efforts in selling raffle tickets during their lunch breaks. Thanks to their hard work, we raised a fantastic $110, which will be donated to Project Compassion.

I would formally like to welcome Freddie (Year 3) and Tallulah (Year 1), who joined the St Patrick's Learning Community this week. Both students have made a great start and I know they will enjoy their time here at St Patrick's.

It's wonderful to see all the children looking smart in their Winter Uniforms this week. Just a reminder that ties are required, and students should be wearing all black school shoes. If your child is unable to wear the correct uniform for any reason, please send a brief note to their classroom teacher or email Mrs Pittman to let us know. Thank you for your support in maintaining our uniform standards.

ANZAC DAY MARCH

Witnessing our students participate in the ANZAC Day March last Friday was a truly proud moment for me and our entire school community. They carried our school's name with remarkable pride and demonstrated a profound respect throughout the procession. In their participation, they offered a moving tribute to the courageous men and women who have dedicated themselves to protecting Australia and to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the freedoms we all benefit from today. Their presence served as a powerful reminder of the enduring significance of ANZAC Day.

GOOD LUCK -  Grace F, Jessica, Josie & Katie

Tomorrow marks an exciting opportunity for Grace F, Jessica, Josie, and Katie as they will be in Bathurst to compete in the Polding Winter Trials for Girls Hockey. We send our very best wishes for success to each of these talented athletes as they will be competing against the best hockey players from all of the Catholic Primary Schools in the northern half of New South Wales.

WINTER UNIFORM

I extend my sincere gratitude to all parents for your ongoing support in ensuring your child/children attend school each day wearing the complete and correct uniform. Maintaining our uniform standards is a key element of our school's identity and plays a significant role in fostering a sense of pride in our students. It helps them learn the importance of upholding standards and cultivates respect for their school community. Every member of our school community contributes to and shapes our SCHOOL BRAND. Thank you for your partnership in this important aspect of school life.
