Traffic Safety Concerns – Urgent Reminder to Our Community
Over the past two weeks, we have experienced several serious near misses involving students being placed at risk around our school. This is extremely concerning, and we are asking every member of our community to take immediate action to help keep our children safe.
Please ensure you:
Reduce your speed to 20 km/h when entering the school grounds
Do not use mobile phones while driving
Show courtesy and respect to other drivers and pedestrians
Accidents can happen in seconds, and the consequences can be devastating.
We also ask that families:
Avoid entering the school before 3:20pm unless absolutely necessary
If you must arrive earlier, please park in the gravel car park and walk along the designated footpaths to collect your children
Do not block entry routes, as this creates dangerous congestion. Our 'early bus' must be able to enter and exit the school safely without travelling on the wrong side of the road.
Importantly, we need all adults to act as role models. We are seeing children copy unsafe behaviours, such as crossing near the roundabout where vehicles are continuously moving, rather than using designated pathways. This significantly increases the risk of injury.
We all share responsibility for the safety of our students. Please slow down, follow the rules, and model safe behaviour so that we can prevent a serious accident from occurring.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our children safe.
Feast of the Sacred Heart - Liturgy
As a school community, we will gather on
Friday 19 June @ 1 - 1:30pm,
to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart, an important occasion in the Catholic tradition. This feast reminds us of Jesus’ great love for all people, symbolised through His Sacred Heart — a heart full of compassion, mercy and kindness. It calls us to reflect on how we can show that same love in our daily lives through our words and actions.
End of Term - Casual Clothes Day
On Friday 26 June, the last day of term, we will hold a casual clothes day as a way of supporting those in need. We encourage students to participate and contribute a donation via CDF Pay, which will be given to the St Vinnies Winter Appeal, helping us make a positive difference in the lives of others.

School Fees - Repeat
This is a friendly reminder of our School Fee Payment Policy. We ask that all parents and carers actively support our school through the payment of annual school fees, which play an important role in maintaining the financial viability of St Francis of the Fields Primary School and supporting the programs and opportunities we offer our students.
Our preferred payment options are as follows:
Direct Debit (monthly, fortnightly, or weekly)
Three equal payments over Terms 1,2 & 3 (one-third of the annual total)
Payment by regular instalments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
All fees are to be paid in full each year and not carried forward to future years unless arrangements are made with Tim Moloney (Principal).
Financial assistance through fee concession will be provided to families in need and those experiencing difficult circumstances. In this instance, a request can be made in writing to the Principal by email to: - debtors@sfstrathfieldsaye.catholic.edu.au
