In Japan, Kodomo no hi (Children’s Day) is celebrated every year on 5th May. On this national holiday, children are respected and honoured for their individual strengths and happiness.
During our Japanese lessons in May, each student made an origami kabuto (samurai hat) and these have contributed towards a large Koi fish display - an amazing piece of Beaumaris Primary School collaborative art.
A big thank you to our Japanese Captains, Zoe and Hugh, and their team of helpers (Indi, Esther, Jack Q, Max, Jarvis H and Oliver) who spent many of their recess and lunch times assembling this creation.
Make sure you check it out next time you are near the front office!
