From the Principal

Winter has certainly made its presence felt this week, bringing cooler temperatures, plenty of rain, and cold starts to the day. While the weather may have encouraged us to stay indoors, it has not dampened the energy and enthusiasm around our school.

Pyjama Day was a great way to start the week and the first day of winter, with staff and students enjoying coming to school in their cosy PJs. The SRC also raised funds towards a house points scoreboard initiative.

Illness – Unwell Students

As we enter the cooler months, we are seeing an increase in colds and flu. While we understand the importance of regular school attendance, we kindly ask that if your child is displaying symptoms or feeling unwell, please keep them at home. This helps prevent the spread of illness to other students and staff.

Gastroenteritis Reminder: If your child has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea, they must remain at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode before returning to school. This precaution helps keep our school community healthy and safe. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Aerobics

Wishing our Aerobics teams the very best of luck as they compete in the State Finals this weekend. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, commitment, and dedication, and look forward to seeing them shine on the big stage.

District Cross Country

Congratulations and well done to our 25 students who competed at the Division Cross Country on Wednesday 27th May. Once again, our students demonstrated outstanding team spirit throughout the event. We are proud to have seven students progressing to the regional finals on Wednesday 17th June.

Staff Carpark

We kindly remind all families that for the safety of our students and community, the staff carpark is not to be used as a walkway to enter or exit the school grounds.

We understand that the carpark may seem like a convenient shortcut, but with vehicles moving in and out, it poses a significant safety risk – particularly during busy drop-off and pick-up times.

To keep everyone safe:

  • Please always use the designated pedestrian gates and pathways.

  • Talk to your children about safe and appropriate entry points to the school.

  • Avoid walking through the carpark, even if you are accompanying your child.

Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of every student. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe school environment.

Student Toilets

At school, student toilets are primarily for student use and, wherever possible, adults use the designated staff toilets. This helps ensure students' privacy and supports our child safety responsibilities. We understand there may be times when a parent or carer needs to assist a younger sibling or child while on site. In these situations, we ask that adults use their discretion and, where possible, choose an alternative facility if students are using the area.

There are staff toilets available in the main building, as well as an accessible toilet located in the Foundation corridor.
