Mr Hyatt

 Happy Father's Day!

I would like to wish all our Fathers a wonderful Father's Day this upcoming Sunday.

Fathers you play a vital role in the lives of your children. You offer guidance, wisdom, support and love throughout their life.  Amazing Fathers make sacrifices every day to give their families a good life. THANK YOU FATHERS

Good luck Skye!

Where has the last four weeks gone? It only seemed like yesterday when Skye Loneragan joined us for her teaching practicum with the Kindergarten class. I know Skye has definitely enjoyed her time working with all of the Kindergarten students and Ms Wilson. Skye, on behalf of the St Patrick's Learning Community, thank you for the last four weeks. It has been an absolute pleasure having you working with us and we wish you all of the best with your future endeavours.

Kindergarten Transition Program Has Commenced!

Last Friday, we welcomed Alice, Alfie, Amelia, Anna, Eden, Emilia, Eve, Evelyn, Harrison, Harry K, Harry M, Heidi, Stirling and Wallace for their first day of transition. The students were very busy on their first day in big school and they completed a wide range of activities. From all accounts, our transition students had a fantastic day and are looking forward to joining us again tomorrow. Thank you again Mrs Hoy and Mrs Rizzi for leading transition as I know it would have been a tiring and action packed day.

Official House Groups Name Survey

As mentioned previously, a survey was sent out to all of our families in regard to the selection of the official names for our Blue and Red House Groups Should it be something like Apsley or Tia or another local landmark or do we go with St Patrick, Catherine McAuley or St Sebastian (patron saint of sport)? We have had a great response so far with over 85% of our school community already completing the survey. For the staff members and families who haven't completed the survey yet, it would be greatly appreciated if you could complete this survey by tomorrow, as hopefully at our first sporting carnival in 2024, the students will be able to represent and acknowledge their sporting house name and colour.

Father's Day Breakfast, Grandparents Day, Book Fair and Book Week Fashion Parade-Friday 1st September

Tomorrow is definitely going to be an action-packed day with a number of activities that are happening.  We will be beginning the day with our annual Father's Day and Grandparents Breakfast at 8.00am. Also, in the morning session (9.15 am-10.30 am), we are inviting all of our grandparents to join us for Grandparents Day, where there will be a number of activities coinciding with this special occasion in all of the classrooms. Everyone is invited to call into the library to view our Book Fair Display and we will be finishing off with our annual Book Week fashion parade and an awards presentation. Also, Bridget from The Herd Bar will be here all of the morning for parents, grandparents and students who wish to purchase a coffee or a hot chocolate when they are here at school. Our Mini Vinnies will also be operating a Father's Day Stall as well as a "How Many Lollies Are In The Jar" competition.

The theme for this year is Hats Off To Reading:  and for the fashion parade, we are encouraging our students (including transition) to dress up as: 'A Hero' or 'Villian'. I have finally sorted out my costume for the fashion parade. Can you guess what I am going to dress up like? I just hope tomorrow is not going to be a cold day! Come dressed in costume for the book parade.

We are looking forward to the book parade tomorrow after morning tea - 11:00am to finish off our Grandparents and Book Week Celebrations tomorrow!

Our Library has been transformed into an area where we can definitely take our hats off to reading and already a large number of books and other accessories have been purchased. The Book Fair will be open throughout the morning.

If you would like to purchase a book & donate it to the library we happily accept this. The book you donate to the Library will have a donation label inside the cover with your families name, a gift of reading to pass onto to other children.
