VIETNAM VETERAN'S DAY MEMORIAL SERVICE

Camilla Lampe and Bailey Holland represented St Francis Xavier’s School at the 2023 Vietnam Veteran’s Day Memorial Service held at the Narrabri RSL on Friday 18th August.

Camilla and Bailey were commended on their presentation on the Vietnam War. They highlighted the importance of understanding why wars happen in the first place and remembering that war is not a solution to conflict. They also spoke about their responsibility as young Australians to remember our war heroes stating “may we never forget the courage and dedication of our veterans, and may we always honour their memory and strive for a world where peace and compassion prevail".

PRACTICUM STUDENT - LAURA FINLAY

For the past three weeks we have had the absolute pleasure of welcoming back one of our past students, Miss Laura Finlay. Miss Finlay is in the second year of her teaching degree at the University of New England and recently completed her practicum placement here at St Francis Xavier’s. Miss Allingham and Kinder A loved having her in their class for the duration of her practicum and we wish Miss Finlay all the best for her degree.
