Principal's Report
Term 3, Week 7
Dear Parents and Carers,
It was wonderful to see so many of our families join us for the Book Week Parade last Thursday! We always love the opportunity to invite parents and carers into the school and appreciate your efforts to be involved in your child's educational journey. Our students looked fantastic in their costumes - and a big thank you to the parents for supporting them in dressing up!
Kinder Transition
Today was the beginning of our 2024 Kindergarten transition program. We had 45 very excited (and nervous) little people join us in preparation for big school next year. Our transition program will be conducted over the next seven Mondays, with another short day next week followed by five full days commencing on Monday 11 September, concluding on Monday 23 October. All enrolment meetings for next year's Kindergarten class have now been completed, however if you know of anyone still interested in enrolling their child in Kinder at St FX, please encourage them to get an enrolment pack ASAP.
School Satisfaction Surveys
Last week, all parents and carers should have received an email asking you to complete a School Satisfaction Survey. These survey links will expire on Wednesday of this week. We really value your input in these surveys as they help form our Annual Improvement Plan priorities each year. The surveys only take 5-10 minutes to complete and if you have the time before Wednesday, we would love your feedback!
Father's Day Breakfast
This Friday we are hosting our annual Father's Day Breakfast under the COLA from 8.00am. All dads, stepdads, grandads and special men in our lives are invited to join us for a bacon and egg roll. RSVPs officially closed on Friday, however we will take late orders up until tomorrow, Tuesday 29th August.
Parent Information Session
Next Monday 4 September, we are lucky to have Inspector Robert Dunn coming to the school to talk to our parents and carers. We strongly recommend all parents attend this session (especially parents of students in Stage 3) as Inspector Dunn discusses some pressing issues facing our young people today. The session will be held in the library at 5.30pm.
Have a great week!
Nick
