Grade 1/2 Teaching Team
The 1/2 teaching team for 2026 is Chris Tseriotis, Chloe McLaren and Jacqui Morey. We are so happy to be part of the 1/2 community and have enjoyed getting to know our wonderful students over the last few weeks!
We aim to create warm, engaging classrooms where students feel confident, learn together calmly and show kindness towards one another. From phonics, reading, writing and maths to science, gardening and humanities. We focus on building skills and confidence in a supportive learning environment.
School Wide Positive Behaviour Support
(SWPBS) is an evidence-based, tiered framework used in schools to create safe, positive, and proactive learning environments. It focuses on explicitly teaching, modeling, and reinforcing expected behaviors to improve academic, social, and emotional outcomes for all students. In the past 3 weeks, through our Primary Start Up program, students have been focusing on developing school routines to be Ready to Learn. These routines align with our college values, Respect, Integrity and Innovation and are displayed in every learning space as a matrix. Students have learned and practiced a range of skills including, entry and exits, transitions and line up.
