Community Engagement

Parent Teacher Learning Conversations
Last Tuesday afternoon and evening we held our first Parent Teacher Learning Conversations for 2026. These conversations are important opportunities designed to build relationships and to share information. Through the building of these partnerships we support our students wellbeing and academic success. The hall was a buzz with conversation as teachers and parents exchanged information. We greatly value parent input as this supports staff to provide the best learning environments for all students.
Meet our Semester 1 SRC Leaders!
Congratulations to our SRC leaders who received their SRC badges at Tune in Tuesday last week.
In our vibrant school community, the Student Representative Council (SRC) plays a pivotal role in voicing student ideas and fostering a collaborative atmosphere. These enthusiastic leaders take the lead in organising school-wide initiatives, from environmental projects to fundraisers, and even fun school events that bring us all closer together. They listen attentively to their peers, gathering suggestions and feedback to improve school life and make our environment more inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
The SRC also plays a crucial role in promoting school values and encouraging a culture of respect, responsibility, and resilience among students. By setting positive examples and leading by initiative, they help create a supportive and engaging school community where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Open Morning & Afternoon School Tours
On Monday we held our second tour of the year and despite the weather we had a large group of prospective families touring our school. Our school captains Mia Smarelli and George Bristow toured the families through our beautiful school with Angie Mastoras our Principal and myself. Our school captains are always proud to showcase St Roch's. We have four further opportunities to open our classrooms and learning spaces to allow visitors to see our school in action. Please fell free to join any tour and hear our Year 6 students share what is truly special about our small school with a huge heart...St Roch's.

Our School Captains Mia and George will be selling icy poles for a gold coin donation at 3.30pm in the playground each Friday afternoon. The gaga pit has been a huge success. Thank you for all of your support to keep improving our school.
