School Sports Australia National Track & Field Results

We have received the below email from the very proud parent of Namo P - 5C.

We have just got home from Canberra and are proud to report Namo was a finalist in both her events at the SSA National Track & Field Championships held at the AIS Stadium in Canberra. Over 600 athletes from Northern Territory, Queensland, NSW, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and ACT competed. Namo competed in the following events.

10 Girls Combined - National Finalist 5th Place 886 points

(Tetrathlon 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put and 800m scored like an Olympic Decathlon but four events)

100m 13.98 seconds Personal Best
Long Jump 3.77m
Shot Put 6.46m Personal Best
800m 2mins 52secs

10 Girls Long Jump - National Finalist 8th Place

Whilst in Canberra we also had the opportunity to visit Parliament House, Australian War Memorial and Questacon www.questacon.edu.au.

It was a truly great experience for Namo.
