Well done Josie, Katie and Grace F!

Last Friday, in hot and challenging conditions, Josie, Grace F, and Katie proudly represented St Patrick’s and the Armidale Diocese at the Polding Summer Trials in Tamworth.

Competing against some of the best tennis players from the northern half of New South Wales, the girls demonstrated great skill, determination, and sportspersonship.

Despite their strong performances on the court, they narrowly missed out on selection for the Polding team. However, their dedication and effort were truly commendable, and they should be incredibly proud of their achievements.

Congratulations to Josie, Grace F, and Katie for their hard work and for representing St Patrick’s with pride. Well done, girls!

2025 Swimming Carnival Tomorrow!

This afternoon, the Oxley (Red) and Apsley (Blue) house groups gathered for their final chant practice and last-minute preparations ahead of tomorrow’s school swimming carnival. Wishing both teams the best of luck—may the best team win!

Tomorrow is sure to be an unforgettable day! Both pools will be alive with laughter, cheers, and the excitement of friendly competition. Don’t forget to stay hydrated, apply sunscreen, and, most importantly, enjoy the day! Best of luck to all the swimmers—may this carnival be a fantastic experience for everyone. See you poolside tomorrow—let’s make a splash!

I have been approached by several students who are inquiring about the qualifying times required to be considered for our team participating in the Armidale Catholic Schools Swimming Carnival on Friday, 28th February in Gunnedah. The qualifying times for each event are listed below. You can also find a copy of this information in the School Sports Handbook provided.

St Patrick's Primary Sports Handbook

St Patrick's now has an official sports handbook and it has been updated after the school swimming carnival held recently. This book is designed to give all members associated with our school a clearer understanding of when our school conducts our various sporting carnivals, the processes/qualifying times involved for students who want to represent our school at Diocesan sporting events as well as an explanation of the representative sporting pathways your child may want to undertake in their respective sports.

Attached below is the revised version of this manual, which now contains the latest information on Jessica's and Josie's records at the athletics carnival.
