Fantastic Results at the SSVSD Athletic Sports!

On Friday 21st August, a talented group of our students represented our school at the SSVSD Athletic Sports, and the results were outstanding!

Out of 31 students who competed across a range of track and field events, an incredible 21 students qualified to progress to the next stage of competition — the Divisions Athletics Finals, which were held on 8th September 2026.

This is a fantastic achievement and a real credit to the hard work, determination, and sportsmanship shown by all of our competitors on the day.

Even better news — following the Divisions Athletics Finals, 3 students have gone on to qualify for the Western Metropolitan Region Finals, representing the very best of our school's athletic talent.

The qualifiers are:

Abubakry Dukury - 9/10 Boys Shot Put

Mary-Jane Chau - 11 Girls 100m

Emma Saliba - 12/13 Girls Discuss

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part, whether they placed or simply gave their best effort. Events like these are a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, support their teammates, and represent our school with pride.

A huge congratulations to all students who competed, and best of luck to those continuing on to the Regional Finals — we'll be cheering you on!
