Principal's Message

Respect, Responsibility and Teamwork.

Always Being Your Best.

Principal's Update

As we come to the end of another busy and successful term, we would like to thank our students, staff and families for their ongoing support throughout the semester.

The past few weeks have been filled with many wonderful moments. Last Friday's assembly was particularly special, with so many parents, carers and grandparents joining us to celebrate student achievements. Our Grade 1 students did a fantastic job performing Seasons, our choir sang beautifully, and our Foundation students delighted everyone with their wonderful character dress-ups inspired by Milo's Birthday Surprise.

The students looked amazing, and we were lucky enough to visit the Foundation classrooms during their celebrations. One student proudly announced, "This is the best day ever!" It was certainly a day filled with smiles, excitement and memorable learning experiences.

We were also incredibly proud of our soccer teams who represented Kangaroo Flat Primary School with pride, determination and excellent sportsmanship. The boys' team recorded three wins and one loss, while the girls achieved one win, one draw and two losses. As always, our students conducted themselves exceptionally well and were wonderful ambassadors for our school.

Canteen Reminder

A reminder that there will be no canteen for the first five weeks of Term 3 while Raye is on leave. Please ensure students bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks from home during this time. We thank you for your understanding.

Sun Protection

Although hats are only compulsory during certain times of the year, we encourage all students to bring their hats to school every day and wear them whenever the sun is shining.

Father's Day Stall Donations

We are currently seeking donations for our upcoming Father's Day Stall. If you have any suitable items you would like to donate, please drop them off at the school office. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Golden Ticket Attendance Reminder

We have received several questions regarding eligibility for our Golden Ticket attendance reward.

To qualify, students must have 100% attendance for the designated period. Any absence, including medical appointments, illness, arriving late, leaving early or leaving school during events such as sports days, means a student no longer has 100% attendance and is therefore ineligible for the Golden Ticket reward.

We understand that some absences are unavoidable, which is why we also celebrate attendance in other ways. Students have access to three wildcard opportunities each term, weekly attendance celebrations continue, and classes compete for our fortnightly attendance trophy and prize.

End of Term Arrangements

A reminder that our final assembly for the term will be held on Friday at 1:55pm, followed by an early finish at 2:30pm.

We hope all of our families enjoy a safe, restful and well-deserved holiday break. Thank you for your continued support throughout the first half of the year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another busy term filled with learning, growth and fun in Term 3.

Have a wonderful holiday break.
