Welcome back everyone, including our new families to Syndal South.

I hope you enjoyed the break from school routine and were able to recharge the batteries, ready to launch into Term 3. We have another busy term ahead with an array of learning opportunities and experiences planned that includes Foundations celebrating their 100 days at school, National Science Week when we will be having a special incursion; the Science Discovery Dome, Book Week celebrations with the illustrator Ben Wood visiting our school, Aerobics National Competitions, and an array of sporting events and of course lots of learning in the classrooms. We are looking forward to the weeks ahead with great enthusiasm.

Staffing

We would like to welcome Annette Bruce who will be replacing Katie Forbes as our new Business Manager. We are sad to see Katie leave us, but a great job opportunity came up at a school closer to her home, Norwood Secondary College. Katie has been a driving force in the financial and human resource management of Syndal South, for the past 4 years which we are extremely grateful for. We wish Katie all the very best at her new school.

We also welcome back Ms Gaudion who is replacing Miss Dodson while she is on leave.

Enrolments for Foundation 2026

We are continuing with our popular school tours this term so if you know of anyone in our community considering enrolling for 2026, encourage them to make an appointment to come in for a tour, or collect an enrolment pack from the office or online https://www.syndalsp.vic.edu.au/page/171/Enrolments.

Foundation Enrolments for 2026 should be submitted by the 28th July 2025.

Finally, we have two exciting sporting events coming up. After last term’s success the SSPS football team will be competing tomorrow in the Division Football finals at Lum Reserve, Wheelers Hill, we wish them all the very best. Next Tuesday our successful girls soccer team also from last term will be competing in the Division Soccer finals at the Eastern Lions Soccer Club in Burwood, we wish the girls the very best too. Go Syndal !!!
