Grade 1 & 2

"Welcome to an Exciting Year in Grade 1/2!

What a fantastic start we’ve had to the school year! Over the past few weeks, our Grade 1/2 students have been settling into their new classrooms, building friendships, and getting to know their teachers. We are also excited to welcome our new staff members, Ms Munday and Ms G, to our team!

As part of our Start-Up Program, we have been exploring our school values and what they look like in our daily routines. In our Wellbeing Program, students have been learning about emotions, how to recognise and regulate them, and how to build respectful relationships with others. We’ve also been discussing what it means to be resilient and how we can overcome challenges with a positive mindset.

One of our key school values is cooperation, and what better way to practise this than through maths games! Students have been working together, taking turns, and problem-solving as they consolidate their understanding of shapes, addition, and subtraction in a fun and engaging way.

We would also like to say a big thank you to our families for their ongoing support as we begin another exciting school year. We truly value your partnership in your child’s learning journey.

We are so proud of the way our students have started the year and can’t wait for all the learning, growth, and exciting experiences ahead!
