Another Busy Week At Naranga.

Dear students, families and carers,

Whilst the concert was a week ago now,  there is no time for rest.  On Friday last week we had our 'Day for Daniel'.  Lots of the students and staff were wearing red on the day and with donations the school raised around $90.00.  One of the other benefits of the day,  was a focus of how students can keep themselves safe.  Staying on this theme, we have also had Risky Kids at school working with a group. The focus is knowing your limits and challenging yourself to go outside your comfort zone whilst assessing risk.

Naranga School continues to prepare students for real life experiences.  PLC1 & 2 in their Community Access program are learning about bus safety as well as engaging with nature.  Across upper juniors and seniors there was a maths incursion - Talking Money, covering topics about all things money including budgeting and saving for future goals.

Head Start are here onsite running practice interviews to support our year 11 & 12 students preparing them for beyond Naranga School.  Tom from JobCo Employment is talking with our older students about job applications.  As you can see there is a real focus on preparing our students for the future.

Last week was World Teachers' Day,  there was a little surprise for teachers to show appreciation for the great work they do in supporting student learning.  A reminder that Monday 6th November,  is a Pupil Free Day for teachers to finalise assessment results and report writing.  Another date to add to your calendar is a Curriculum Day on Tuesday 28th November.

Finally, even though it is now November and we really have not had much hot weather it is time to start thinking about Sun mart practices.
