FWPS Parents Association

In conjunction with Footscray West Primary School, The Parents Association is proud to be involved with the following parent information session to be held next week: 

Berry St Parent Forum (online) - Wednesday 31st July, 7:00-8:00pm

Hosted by educators from Berry Street, this session will explain what the Berry Street Education Model is and how it is assisting the learning of your child. You will learn key strategies to help children manage stress, the language of BSEM and what children are learning at school about their stress response. Valuable information for modern day parenting - and we may also finally learn what a ‘brain break’ is!

Trivia Night - Saturday 10th August, 7:00pm

The Trivia Night is only two weeks away, and as plans for the evening are taking shape we are requesting help with the following items:

Auction Items

We are seeking donations of items for prizes or to auction. If you or your workplace have any donations that will generate some interest and a few bids, we would like to hear from you. Think hampers, vouchers and more.

DJ

An opportunity also exists for a talented DJ to continue the entertainment after the trivia. You will play a key role in the entertainment for the evening!

Father’s Day / Special Person’s Day Stall

Plans are underway for our Father’s Day / Special Person’s Day stall to be held later in Term 3. To kick off the planning, we are seeking any donations such as plants, books or other gift items. Donations are welcome at the office at any time.

Thank you to Jess Cork and Paul Payne who answered the call to plan and run the stall this year. We are glad to have you on board!
