Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden 

This week in the garden we have continued to clear the summer weeds that have overtaken the garden beds.  We have managed to empty one which we plan to redo with a weed mat, new soil and raised sprinklers.  We have been able to harvest an abundance of cherry tomatoes, potatoes and even some lovely yellow corn cobs. 

In the kitchen we baked a very moist and sweet banana bread which we enjoyed after some yummy tomato and basil risotto, beetroot tzatziki and a Mediterranean salad. The children are enjoying trying many new flavours and are always eager to get their hands dirty in the kitchen.
