Last Wednesday, Stage 2 attended an excursion to the zoo to support their learning in Science. Special thanks goes to the P&C who paid for this excursion for our students.

Our classes and teachers enjoyed a beautiful day visiting exhibits and spotting animals. We especially loved visiting the Habitat Rooms where zoo educators allowed us to get up close and personal with a variety of species that share an ecosystem.

Many of our students are keen to return and explore other areas of the zoo. This may be a fun school holiday activity.

We were delighted to receive this wonderful email from Emma at the Zoo Education Team following our visit:

I hope you had a great day on Tuesday and that your students enjoyed their workshop sessions here at Taronga!

I was chatting with one of your teachers from the 12:30pm session and we were marvelling over how engaged your students were with not only the experience, but the echidnas in particular. Our educators were having a great chat with the students after the session specifically about echidna enrichment.

We are so proud of you, Stage 2!

Kindergarten Farm Excursion

Last Tuesday, Kindergarten visited Calmsley Hill City Farm to learn about farm animals. We were fortunate enough to have gorgeous weather all day as we rode on a tractor, interacted with baby animals, milked cows and watched a stockwhip demonstration as well as a working dog show.

A special thank you to all the parent helpers who came along to support our students on this fun experience.

Here are some photos from our very fun day!
