Semester 1 Reports were published via the Sentral Parent Portal on Wednesday 24th June. A reminder that due to the industrial action earlier in the term, there were no written comments on these reports. More detailed information regarding your child’s learning can be obtained from your child’s classroom teacher during the up-and-coming Parent Teacher interviews early in term 3.

NAIDOC Week

As we approach the end of Term 2, 2026, it is timely to reflect on the theme for the upcoming 2026 National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC), ‘50 Years of Deadly’.

NAIDOC Week will occur during the school holidays, from Sunday 5 to Sunday 12 July 2026, making the final weeks of June the perfect time for reflection.

This year’s theme celebrates 5 decades of NAIDOC Week – of celebrating the voices and cultures of First Nations communities. This theme is about reflecting on past achievements, while celebrating the momentum that continues to drive sustainable change – grounded in culture and identity.

Students from our school joined with Echuca Regional health for a Walk on Country event last Monday.

My time at Echuca Twin Rivers PS concludes at the end of term. Having worked in regional roles, I have appreciated the opportunity to be able to finish my 41-year career with the Department of Education in a school and 30 years since I took on my first Principal role in the Mallee.

Echuca Twin Rivers PS is a well organised school, the teachers and support staff work very hard to provide a quality education. I have enjoyed getting to know the students and staff at the school. I wish Jacob Johnson the very best in the acting Principal role in term 3, he is an outstanding educator and leader. Nat Harvey has been appointed to the acting Assistant Principal role. I also wish Julie a speedy recovery and hope that she can return to the school sooner than later.
