3/4R’s Class News- Wellington Secondary College Visit
This week, our Year 3/4 classes were visited by some students from the Student Representative Council (SRC) at Wellington Secondary College. They led a series of engaging workshops focused on kindness, friendship and teamwork.
During one activity, students decorated a mini version of themselves and wrote positive messages about their own strengths, as well as a kind message for another person. We also took part in a range of cooperative games that encouraged students to work together, listen to each other's ideas, and solve problems as a team.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to build positive relationships and develop important social skills while having fun.
Here is what some students in 3/4R had to say about their experience:
“I really loved doing things together and learning about friendship, kindness and teamwork. Lots of people were excited about playing the games. We got spoilt and everyone got a special prize.” - Siheli
“We learnt to share and my favourite game was playing Pictionary. We had to order the kindness events and that helped us to be kind.” - Jackson
“We learnt to work together by playing Pictionary, where someone had to draw a word, then 3 people guessed the word. We also played Scattergories, where we had to come up with words starting with the same letter for different topics. I loved how they explained everything.” - Celine
“I learnt that teamwork makes the dreamwork and most importantly how to have fun with your friends!” - Jayden
