MEBS - A Legacy of Excellence
Dear Boarding Community,
Welcome to the final edition of Boarders' Buzz for 2024 - the Christmas Edition.
The year has come and gone so quickly and Term 4 has proven once again to be a busy one culminating in the HSC Exams and the farewell of the MEBS Seniors for 2023/24 amongst many other events.

The MEBS Sleepover/ Orientation for our new Year 7 students took place on Thursday 5 December. We welcome our new Year 7's and look forward to working with them next year. I was very proud of our new Boarding student leaders who were instrumental in welcoming the new families and supporting the new boys and girls in settling into a new environment.
The MEBS traditional Beach Theme Christmas party was this year held in the Mount Erin grounds due to weather concerns. Despite the weather being very hot and humid, the Boarders had fun with the games and activities. The BBQ was very popular and then the finale was the swimming pool which was also extremely popular.
Our Christmas Dinner was celebrated on Tuesday 12 December in the Dining room. Our Boarding leaders welcomed our special guests and presented them with certificates of appreciation for their ongoing support of the Mount Erin Boarding Community. Our special guests included Ms Megan Masterson (CEDWW) Principals, Ms Val Thomas (MDCC) and Mr Chris Browne (KCC), Vice Principal Sean Ellis (MDCC), Senior Staff - Matt Conn (KCC); Pete Hunt (KCC); Ondre Nejman (KCC). Many thanks to our Activities Officer, Mr. Jody Siegwalt , our Boarding Staff, and Boarding Student Leaders, for their hard work in making these activities happen.
We farewelled 4 Boarding students who are leaving us at the end of the year:
Evie, Abigael, Claire, and Emma. We will miss these young people but wish them well for their new journey.
The Boarders also participated in the Annual Wagga Lights Tours which always proves to be popular.
Our Boarding Captains participated in the CEDWW Leaders Day hosted by MEBS. They joined the College and Boarding Captains from St Francis De Sales, Xavier, Marian, Kildare, and Mater Dei Catholic Colleges exploring leadership faith and spirituality.

We farewell MEBS Boarders as they leave at the end of this term, on a new journey as part of their secondary schooling. I want to thank the following boarders for their contribution to Mount Erin Boarding and wish them well for the future:
Emma, Claire, Evie, Abigael, and Ella
We will miss them.
I want to take this opportunity to thank our Boarders and their families. We hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!
