📝 NAPLAN Complete! 🎉
We are pleased to share that our students have now completed their NAPLAN assessments. Throughout the testing period, they demonstrated focus, resilience, and a positive attitude—something we are very proud of.
We would like to thank our students for their hard work and effort, as well as our teachers and families for their support in helping everything run smoothly.
Now that testing is complete, we look forward to returning to our regular learning routines and continuing to build on the great work happening in our classrooms. Well done, everyone!
🌟 Early Stage 1 – Term Highlights 🌟
As the term comes to a close, we are incredibly proud of our Early Stage 1 students and the wonderful progress they have made. They have settled beautifully into school routines, showing growing independence and confidence in their learning.
Throughout the term, students have been actively engaged in a variety of hands-on learning experiences. In literacy, they have been exploring letters, sounds, and early writing skills, while in numeracy they have been developing their understanding of numbers, counting, and patterns. Their enthusiasm and willingness to have a go has been fantastic to see.
We have also loved watching friendships blossom and seeing students demonstrate kindness, cooperation, and respect in the classroom and playground.
Thank you to our families for your ongoing support this term. We wish everyone a safe and happy break and look forward to another exciting term ahead!
🔤Literacy📖

☀️🌛Sequencing🗓️

This term, our staff professional learning has centred on strengthening our non-negotiable literacy block, with a particular focus on the explicit teaching of reading and writing. Teachers have worked collaboratively to refine their practice, ensuring consistency and high expectations across all classrooms.
A key area of focus has been backward mapping, supporting teachers to plan with clear learning intentions and outcomes in mind. By identifying desired student outcomes first, staff have been able to design targeted and purposeful learning experiences that support student growth.
We have also placed a strong emphasis on the use of data to inform teaching. Through ongoing assessment and analysis, teachers have been able to monitor student progress closely and respond with targeted instruction. The use of our assessment waterfall chart has supported staff in tracking student achievement and identifying next steps in learning.
