Senior Lawn Bowls

Last week, Brentwood proudly had two teams represent the school at the Monash Division Senior Bowls Day.

A huge thank you to the wonderful members of the Glen Waverley Bowls Club who generously gave up their time to coach and guide schools across the Monash Division. Their support and expertise helped make it a fantastic and successful morning of bowls for everyone involved.

Both Brentwood teams played three competitive rounds, winning a number of ends throughout the day. More importantly, our students demonstrated excellent teamwork — discussing strategy, encouraging one another, and showing great sportsmanship across the competition.

To finish the day, students enjoyed a friendly round of pickleball, adding some extra fun to an already successful event.

Brentwood's Sporting Hall of Fame

With our House Athletics carnival this week, it was a great opportunity to announce our second inductee to the Sporting Hall of Fame this term. Congratulations Jordan!

Brentwood Student 2019 – 2024

Athletics

Jordan Gilbert proudly represented Australia at the World Junior Athletics Championships in Lima, Peru in 2024. Jordan competed in both the 4 x 400m mixed relay winning GOLD and becoming a world champion, and in the 4 x 400m men’s relay he won a Bronze medal. An amazing achievement all while completing his VCE studies!
