An Easter Reflection
...remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’
At the heart of the Christian faith lies the story of Easter. A story of hope, renewal and the quiet yet powerful promise that light will always overcome darkness.
For Christians, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, reminding us that love is stronger than fear, compassion stronger than division and hope stronger than despair. It is a message that has inspired generations to believe in the possibility of new beginnings.
Yet, the spirit of Easter speaks beyond the boundaries of religion. It is a message that resonates with people of all faiths and those who simply seek meaning, goodness and connection in our shared humanity. The Easter story invites us all to reflect on how we live with one another and how we care for the world around us.
In our school community, this message comes to life through the values we strive to nurture each day. When our students show empathy for a classmate, they bring Easter hope into the present moment. When they treat others with respect, they recognise the dignity in every person. When we, as a St Anthony's community, ensure every child feels included and valued, we reflect the welcoming love that sits at the heart of the Gospel, and when our students pursue excellence by giving their very best in learning, relationships and service, they honour the gifts they have been given.
Easter reminds us that communities flourish when kindness leads, when differences are embraced and when we believe that each day offers an opportunity to begin again. It reminds us that every person matters and every moment counts.
May this Easter season inspire our whole community to continue to carry forward the light of hope, compassion and generosity into the lives of others.
Wishing you a happy Easter,
The Staff of St Anthony's
