On Wednesday May 8th, students from years 9, 10 and 11 were invited to explore the exciting world of trade and tech industries at the Trade and Tech Fit career expo at Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

The Trade & Tech Fit career expo provided a unique opportunity for young female students to visit exhibitions across numerous industries including, building and construction, engineering, automotive, transport & logistics, robotics, mining, transport, agriculture & horticulture, aviation & aerospace and more.

Our students were able to expand their knowledge on the range of career options available to female and gender diverse students in the trade and tech world. The expo’s welcoming and enthusiastic environment featured hands-on experiences, engaging displays and supportive conversations that allowed students to imagine new possibilities.

These students, as well as all Craigieburn Secondary students, will have the opportunity to discuss these potential pathways with their teachers or education support staff and then realign their study goals accordingly.

We would like to thank all the students involved.  They were active and positive participants throughout the day and staff look forward to hosting more career-focussed activities like this for our students.
