As the term progresses, we continue to see fantastic examples of our students and staff living by the core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Honesty.
This week, our Year 3 and 5 students have been engaged in the NAPLAN assessments, which will take place over the next fortnight. These nation-wide assessments cover Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language, and Numeracy. We are incredibly proud of the positive approach our students have shown towards these assessments. Well done to all!
Last week, eight WVPS students proudly represented our school at the Divisional Swimming Carnival. Reaching this stage of competition is a remarkable achievement, and we congratulate them for their efforts and sportsmanship.
All families received documentation this week regarding the 2025 School Council Parent Nomination Ballot. We kindly ask all families to review the information and complete the ballot. Completed forms can be returned to the school either with your child or via the office by 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 20th.
Finally, our annual WVPS Parents and Friends Easter Raffle is fast approaching. We are seeking donations from families and local businesses to support this fantastic fundraiser. Items such as Easter eggs, colouring books, arts and crafts, or vouchers are all welcome for our Easter hampers. Donations can be handed to the office by March 31st. The raffle will be drawn at our final assembly of Term 1 on Friday, April 4th. Thank you for your continued support!
Regards,
Chris Johns
