International Women's Day

On March the 3rd, Nossal High School celebrated International Women's Day to acknowledge the women who have fought hard for the feminist movement. Formation organised the annual IWD whole school assembly surrounding 2025's theme of #accelerateaction. To Formation, this theme underlines the importance and urgency of taking action now, with no more waiting around for the 'right time'.

This assembly could not have been done without the assistance of many clubs and teachers. AV club provided their help in the creation of a video dedicated to how well students and teachers of Nossal understood International Women's Day.

Nossal's Kdance and Bollywood club both gave their own spectacular performances throughout the event, along with music aimed to empower and uplift women.

Guest speaker Aria Sunga, former Nossal alumni, school captain, and one of the founders of Formation, was invited to present to Nossal's staff and students her own personal experiences and perspectives on International Women's Day.

She assisted in relaying the current issues that women in society continue to battle daily and motivated the audience to take action.

To commemorate IWD week, Formation also organised a poster, inviting the students of Nossal to appreciate the women in their lives and acknowledge the sacrifices that have been made for them.

On behalf of Formation, we thank Dr Schroor, Ms De Zylva and anyone else who helped make this memorable week possible!
