Achievements & Updates

23 February 2026

Welcome!

The Lowanna Sports Academy (LSA) would like to welcome back all of our returning students and welcome our new students to the program (and the college) for 2026! We hope everyone had a refreshing break and that you are ready for an exciting year ahead. We are looking forward to working with our students and their families this year both inside and outside of the classroom.

Our newsletter is published a few times each term and is an opportunity to keep in touch with our families, share announcements and celebrate students' achievements!

Please contact us anytime in relation to any concerns or questions about your child and their progress. We want to support our students to be the best they can be.

Sports Academy Uniform

Lowanna College – Pacific Team Sports

The Sports Academy Uniform can be purchased via the above link. If there are any issues with the garments, please contact PTS directly.

We have some training tops and shorts available for students to try on at school before purchasing. Please be aware that the youth tops are very small (similar to kid's sizes), so please consider this before purchasing.

We suggest that students have their FIRST NAME or SURNAME on the back of their training tops.

MyZone Monitors

Students are expected to have a MyZone Heart Rate Monitor. Year 7s will receive theirs in the coming weeks (we are waiting for stock to arrive). Students who have started at the college this year who are not in Year 7 are expected to buy a monitor from the General Office for $85. They are used in most lessons, especially in Year 7 and 8 and all Year 9 and 10 fitness sessions. It is important that students bring them to all sessions.

Sports Academy Diaries

All students have been provided with a LSA diary and we expect them to be taken to every class.

The diary is a great learning tool and we would love parents to take an interest in their homework, learning tasks and everything else that is going on at school.

Rookie Me

On Friday the 6th of February our Year 7-10 Sports Academy students participated in fitness testing which was facilitated by Rookie Me. It was great for students to be tested in a high-performance environment and to be able to see where they rank compared to other athletes in their age group across the country. Well done to the huge effort demonstrated by our students on the day.
