Book Week Parade
Our highly anticipated book week parade will be held once again on Wednesday 26th August. Students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character, or connected to this year's theme of ‘a symphony of stories’, or as something inspired by a published book. Parents/carers are welcome to join us on the oval from 9.10am.
Book Fair
Our much loved book fair for students will be on again in the MPR from Tuesday morning until Friday afternoon, during Book Week. Please come and visit us and support our library fundraiser.
- Tuesday 25th August - 8:30am to 9:00am & 3:15pm to 3:45pm
- Wednesday 26th August - 8:30am to 9:00am & 3:15pm to 3:45pm
- Thursday 27th August - 8:30am to 9:00am & 3:15pm to 3:45pm
- Friday 28th August - 8:30am to 9:00am & 3:15pm to 3:45pm
The book fair will be located at the laneway end of the MPR.
Author Visits
Each year level will participate in an incursion with a published author. They will discuss their experiences and share their knowledge and skills with students. Please see event details on Compass for specific information regarding your child’s incursion.
Busking
In connection to the theme this year of ‘symphony of stories’, we are also looking forward to some of our talented students busking around the school on stages set up on Tuesday during Book Week.
Footy Colours Day, Hot Dog Lunch & Raffle
Wednesday 16th September is our annual Footy Colours Day!
For a gold coin donation to go towards 'Fight Cancer Foundation' supporting children's cancer, students can wear their footy colours or team jersey! The traditional Year 6 vs Teachers game will also be taking place again.

Students are also holding a raffle to win a signed Western Bulldogs jumper. Tickets are $1 each or 3 for $2 and will be available in the weeks leading up to Footy Colours Day. School Captains will visit classes for students to purchase if they wish.

Also this year, to add to the atmosphere of Footy Day, Parents' Club are selling skinless Hot Dogs for lunch. Pre-orders are essential via CompassTix.

2026 Colour Run is now LIVE!
Flyers have been sent home with students, outlining instructions on how to create your child's personal fundraising page.
What Families Need to Know
Parents’ Club are excited to launch the NLPS Colour Fun Run, a whole-school fundraising event that brings students, families, and staff together for fun, colour, community spirit, and a shared goal! The Colour Fun Run event will take place on Friday 16th October.
Every student participates in the Colour Fun Run, regardless of whether they fundraise. If your child/ren does not want colour thrown on them, please have them wear a non white coloured t-shirt (e.g. red or black).
Most importantly, this event is about inclusion, community spirit, teamwork, and shared achievement. Every student is part of the celebration.
What’s the Goal?
Your tax deductable donation is going towards lots of exciting things to upgrade and improve our student spaces (upgrades scheduled to commence during Term 3 holidays), including:
- Revamping the school quiet yard
- Creating a new outdoor classroom space next to the Gym
- An exciting new ‘surprise’ playground addition to come!
Get involved!
Weekly prizes are on offer for the classes that raise the most each week - the more you share with your friends and family asking for donations, the more opportunities there are for your class to win!
All you need to do is set up a profile for your child/ren in their class fundraising page and share your personal link to your friends and family... let's try and raise as much money as we can!
