John XXIII Rowing Club

Dear Rowing Families
The season is almost officially over with our House Regatta and Presentation Dinner this Saturday evening.
Year 7s have had their second rowing session and are picking the sport up quickly.
Rowing Presentation Dinner
Please ensure rowers are at the front of the Thomas More Exhibition Centre prior to 6:30pm, and adults are seated by this time, so we can commence the proceedings on time.
When: Saturday 29 August, 2026
Time: 6:30-10pm
Location: Thomas More Exhibition Centre
Drinks: Soft drinks and water provided; Adults BYO alcohol
Dress:
- Rowers – Full College Winter Uniform (no PE uniforms)
Adults – semi-formal
House Regatta
Our House Regatta is on the morning of 29 August, at our boatshed at Canning Bridge.
Rowers are to be at the boatshed at 7:30am – there is no bus, but parking is at a premium, so please carpool where possible. The event concludes with the hotly contested coach-versus-student race, and then parents get to have a go as well, enthusiastically taught by their children. No experience required!
Year 7 Learn to Row
Year 7s have commenced their five-week learn to row course, and already we see some great talent! We’ve had quad sculls and some scullers take to the water.
Please note the students catch the bus at the bus bays at the front of school and will be dropped back there at 6pm on their return. Rowers can be picked up at 5:30pm from the boatshed, but please let Claire know if this is occurring.
Please email Claire.woolfitt@johnxxiii.edu.au for more information.
The session on Tuesday, 8 September, has been cancelled due to the Year 7 Social event, and an additional session has been added on Tuesday, 22 September.
Stack Team App
This App is one of our main avenues for communication with rowers and their parents. Please download the ‘Stack Team App’ on your phone, as this is the central place for training schedules, training updates, access to the rowing handbook, to name a few. It is important that all rowers and parents have access.
To get this app please go to the App Store or Google Play and download the Stack Team App onto your mobile device, then follow these simple steps:
- Sign-up to Stack Team App. You’ll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
- Log-in and search for JTCRC, then request to become a member.

- Pick up: 5:05am at College Bus shelter
