Socktober - Friday 31 October
Just a friendly reminder, tomorrow, Friday 31 Oct is Socktober Friday — a fun and meaningful fundraiser in support of Catholic Mission.
Students are encouraged to wear their craziest, most colourful socks to school as we raise awareness and funds for children in need around the world. Donations to be made via CDFpay, supporting Catholic Mission’s work in vulnerable communities and helping bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those most in need.
Fdn - Yr 2 Athletics Morning
Tomorrow, Friday 31 October, the students in Fdn - Yr2 will be having a ‘Mini Athletics Morning’ held on the school oval. We will focus on participation and encouraging students to do their very best while enjoying the morning.
The students will participate in a variety of events starting from 9.15am and finishing just before 11.00am. The students will compete in modified running events, hurdles, long jump, shot put and discus.
Please note, there is no ‘winner’ awarded as such, as mentioned above, the focus is purely around participation and enjoying the activities.
We encourage students to wear their house colours on the day
Clare- yellow
Francis- green
Backhaus- blue
Mackillop- red
This can include ribbons, face paint, coloured t-shirts etc. The students will participate in their year level.
It would be great to see as many parents there as possible cheering and encouraging the efforts of all students.
We hope it will be a nice day for the event. We will also have a coffee van for you to enjoy!
Mango Drive Fundraiser
Tomorrow, Friday 31 October, is your last chance to order trays of Mangoes from our fundraiser. Please send your order form to the school office and make sure your payment has been put through on CDF Pay.
Instrumental Concert
All families are invited to attend the 3 Instrumental Concerts that will be held on Wednesday 5 November.
Fdn/1/2 concert will be held from 9.15 -11.00am (New start time)
Year 3/4 concert will be held from 11.45am - 1.30pm
Year 5/6 concert will be held from 6.00 - 8.00pm
It is a wonderful celebration of the grit and determination displayed by our students and instrumental teachers. I hope you can join us in the shed for these celebrations.
Memorial Service
On Friday 7 November at 11:45 am, we will hold our Memorial Ceremony at the Memorial Garden.
During the ceremony, we will remember and pray for our loved ones who have died and will always hold a special place in our hearts. All are invited to join us for the ceremony.
Shed Unavailability
The shed will be unavailable fortraining use on the following dates:
Wednesday 5 Nov - Instrumental Concerts
Thursday 27 Nov - St Kilian's School Concert
Thursday 11 Dec - Yr 6 Graduation Mass
Term School Closure Days & Public Holidays
Please note that our school will be closed on the following days:
Monday 24 November – Report Writing Day
Tuesday 25 November - 2026 Planning Day
Wednesday 17 December - 2025 Planning Day (Last day of the school year for teachers)
This means the last day of the school year for our children will be Tuesday 16 December. The school will finish at 3.20pm on this day.
YMCA - Bookings for Pupil Free Days in November
YMCA After School Care are seeking expressions of interest from parents who would like to use their service for the two scheduled pupil free days on the 24th & 25th of November. They require a minimum of 10 children on each day to run this service.
