Poppy Appeal Thank You
I write on behalf of Dan Cairnes, Oakleigh Carnegie RSL President, to thank Oakleigh Primary students and staff for their exceptional work in selling poppies to help our club raise funds to support veterans and their families, and for organising Dan's visit to the school assembly last Friday. As indicated by Dan on Friday, this year Oakleigh Primary raised $888.15 to support our appeal, building on last year's great work of $928.45.
All funds raised through the sale of poppies is dedicated to supporting veterans and their families - these funds cannot be used for any other purpose. And we find that with so many younger veterans now needing support these funds are absolutely essential.
Once again, our sincere thanks for your support.
Ann Barker, Secretary
