God Squad and MJR 2.0
I wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to the God Squad for all of their enthusiasm, support and organisation ~
Archie N, William K, Imogen S, Natalia P, Ayla R and Owen Q, you have been so diligent and enthusiastic in your role as our very first God Squad. I could not have re launched MJR 2.0 without you.
Thank you so very much!
A Christmas Message
May the hope, love and joy of the Christmas season surround you and your loved ones as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Acts of Service
Earlier this term, the JLA and SLA students wrote letters and Christmas cards that were included in Deployment Boxes put together by the Greensborough RSL. Australia has a long-standing tradition of sending Deployment boxes to Defence personnel around the world. They provide a much needed connection to home and are proudly displayed in mess halls and recreational areas.
From Greensborough RSL:
Supporting Our Deployed ADF Members – A Community Effort
On Saturday 22nd November volunteers from our Women’s Auxiliary (and fantastic support team) came together for a very special project: packing more than 100 care packages to be sent to Australian Defence Force personnel currently deployed overseas. Each parcel was thoughtfully prepared with practical essentials, small comforts from home, and heartfelt messages of support.
This project was a true community effort. We extend our sincere thanks to Greensborough RSL, Greensborough RSL Social Club, Diamond Valley Vietnam Veterans, and all our incredible volunteers whose generosity, time and enthusiasm made this day possible. Special mention to Michelle and Mel - thank you both for your amazing support.
We were also deeply touched to receive beautiful letters and Christmas cards from the children at St Joseph the Worker in Reservoir, which will no doubt bring smiles to those serving far from home.
We continue to learn, grow, and refine what we include in each package, ensuring they are meaningful, useful, and a genuine reminder that their service is appreciated. The effort that day reflected the very best of community spirit - working together to support those who serve our country.
A Prayer to the Holy Family
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, in you we contemplate the splendor of true love;
To you we turn to trust.
Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that out families too may be places of communion and prayer, authentic schools of the Gospel and small domestic churches.
Holy Family of Nazareth, may families never again experience violence, rejection and division;
May all who have been hurt or scandalized find ready comfort and healing.
Holy Family of Nazareth, make us once more mindful of the sacredness and inviolability of the family , and it’s beauty in God’s plan.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, graciously hear our prayer.
Amen
