News and Notices

We have enjoyed another successful year and loved seeing our students learn and flourish. High academic achievement, dedication to learning and positive social skills and conduct have continued, and we are very proud of our students for being lovely young people.
We extend thanks to our school community for their support, partnership and positivity. Parents and caregivers play a very special role in our school through their positive example of The Tally Way. We have appreciated the smiles, waves, kind words and trust given as we have worked together to help our students, school and community.
Year 6 Graduation
Congratulations to our graduating class of 25! We wish them all the very best for their bright futures. They have grown into very capable, dynamic and caring young people, with a strong foundation that will support them as they take their next steps.
We recently marked this important milestone through a graduation ceremony with family, friends and other special guests and a social event for children at night. Year 6 students can access the photo gallery for these events via student hub (until the end of the year).
2026 Student Leaders
Congratulations to the students who have been selected as student leaders for 2026. We commend all students who were shortlisted for a leadership role through the selection process.
Annual Volunteer Appreciation Morning
At our last P&C Meeting for the year (28/11/2025), we expressed appreciation to our volunteers with a morning tea. We realise that not everyone would make it so we extend an enormous thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers for their help this year!!!
Tally Way Day
Tally Way Day is one of our signature events and an opportunity for students to apply their learning about The Tally Way during fun activities and to reflect on their wonderful year.
Tally Way Day was held today and our P&C provided pizza for students thanks to the generosity of our Prosperity Partner sponsors, John Fischer & Shelley Watkins - PRD Real Estate, Lauren Macdonald & Glen Parsons - Nurse Next Door, Ray and Tarnah Blane – Southern Seas Marine/Rib Force Inflatable and Paige Johnston – Move Headquarters.
Retirement
This year, we farewell the fabulous Janene Coleman who is retiring. Janene has been a teacher for 46 years and absolutely adored by students and staff. She is a talented and passionate educator who consistently took a genuine interest in her students as individuals, showing them care and understanding. We thank Janene for her significant contribution to state schooling and Tallebudgera State School and wish her the very best for her retirement.
Election for School Council Parent Member
Nominations are now open for the very important role of Elected Parent Member on our school council. A position on the school council of an Independent Public School is an excellent opportunity to contribute. An email has been sent to our parent group outlining details about the role of the school council and the nomination and election process. If you are a parent/carer (with legal parental responsibility) and didn’t receive the email, please contact the office.
