District Basketball

On Wednesday the 5th of August, the Macedon boys district basketball team went to Broadman Stadium in Sunbury and tried their absolute best.
They played extremely well against each opponent.
The first game they played was against Mount Macedon and they beat them 20 to 0. The next game was against Braemar and they lost 9-17, and their next game was against St Brigid's and they lost by only 2 points; 6-8.
Then they played their last normal game against Holy Cross - 8 to 16.
In their playoff match they played Holy Cross, again, for 5th and 6th place and lost 5-10 and came 6th.
We thank Mr O, Mrs Erwin and parent helpers for making this day happen.

On Wednesday the 5th of August some Year 6 girls went down to Boardman Stadium in Sunbury for district basketball.
Our first game was against Riddles Creek and we won 20-6. Our second game was against holy cross and we won 27-2, and our third game was against Mount Macedon and we won 15-4. Our last game was against new Gisborne and we lost 8-12 putting us into a playoff for third place against Holy cross which we won.
We ended up coming third out of all the B girl's teams. Thank you to all the teachers and parents who came along and made this day possible and a massive thanks to Mr O for running the event. All of the girls played really well, and all had an amazing day.
