Principal's Report
From the Principal – Term 3, Second Edition
As we move through the first half of Term 3, I am proud to reflect on the many wonderful learning opportunities and celebrations that have brought our school community together. It has been a busy and rewarding term so far, with our students embracing every opportunity to learn, achieve and celebrate alongside one another.
One of the highlights this term has been the outstanding achievement of our Senior Boys' AFL 9s team, who competed at division. Congratulations to every player and thank you to our dedicated staff who supported the team along the way. We are incredibly proud of the boys' team spirit and sportsmanship.
Our youngest learners also reached a very special milestone as they celebrated their 100 Days of Foundation. It was wonderful to see our Foundation students dressed as 100-year-olds while taking part in fun learning activities centred around the number 100. This celebration highlighted just how much our students have grown in confidence, independence and learning since beginning their school journey earlier this year. It was a joyful occasion for students, staff and families alike.
Adding to the excitement, Foundation students were delighted by Milo Monkey's surprise birthday party. The special celebration brought plenty of smiles, laughter and excitement as everyone joined together to wish Milo Monkey a very happy birthday. Events like these help create lasting memories and reinforce the strong sense of belonging that makes our school such a caring and connected community.
As we look ahead to the remainder of the term, I know there will be many more opportunities to celebrate achievements, strengthen friendships and continue our learning journey together. Thank you for being such an important part of our wonderful school community.

Staffing News
Welcome to Kaileah Stoddart, she has commenced her role as part of our Education Support team on a full-time basis. I can attest to how welcoming this school is so I am sure Kaileah will find the transition smooth.
Parent Opinion Survey
The 2026 Parent and Caregiver Opinion Survey will be available to complete online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.
The survey seeks feedback on:
- school climate
- community engagement in learning
- teaching practices for student engagement and outcomes
- attitudes towards school attendance.
2027 Enrolments
Foundation enrolments for next year have now closed. If you have a child that you are intending to enrol for next year can you please contact the office urgently. The school is currently in the process of offering placements for 2027 and want to ensure siblings receive an offer.
SRC Fundraising Outcome
Our SRC members have recently raised $539.70 for MND research!

Premiers Reading Challenge
Clyde's Got Talent
The countdown is on for Clyde's Got Talent 2026! Students can join us as our performers take to the stage to showcase their singing, dancing, comedy and instrumental performances.
Entry passes for the event are available to purchase from now until August 12th, at the cost of a gold coin donation. All proceeds will go towards supporting our Year 6 Big Day Out.
Don't let your child miss this fun opportunity to celebrate the amazing talents of our students while supporting a great cause. We look forward to seeing our Clyde Primary School students support their peers!

Bullying No Way: National week of action
This year Clyde PS will be participating in the Bullying No Way: National week of action from 17th- 21st August.
Bullying No Way Week is a commitment being made by thousands of schools and supporters across the country. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to bullying prevention. It gives us an opportunity to connect with students, staff and school communities to implement workable solutions to prevent bullying.
The theme for this year's campaign is Small Acts, Big Impact.
It takes a community to be brave and address bullying behaviours, within and beyond the school gate.
Students can be bold, kind and speak up to support others being bullied. While trusted adults are there to support children and young people learn how to be kind to each other and report bullying.
During the week we will be engaging students in meaningful discussions and activities aimed at promoting empathy, understanding and respect for diversity. The students will be participating in an online event, hosted by Kids Helpline, the largest anti-bullying lesson.
The week will start with our Year 3-6 students participating in Kid's Helpline's Largest Ant-Bullying Lesson on Monday 17th August. This will be live streamed to their classroom, facilitated by Kids Helpline counsellors.
Students will gain:
- Insights from young people who have faced bullying and what actually worked for them
- Practical, in-the-moment strategies for different types of bullying – and why they work
We encourage families to take this opportunity to have open and honest conversations with your child about the impact of bullying and what they can do if they need support.

Book Week and Parade
Each year, across Australia, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) brings children and books together celebrating Children’s Book Week. Throughout the year, the CBCA works in partnership with authors, illustrators, publishers, booksellers and other organisations in the children’s book world to bring words, images and stories into the hearts and minds of children and adults.
This year, Book Week is being held from August 22nd – 28th at Clyde Primary school. Students shall celebrate Australian literature through a range of activities throughout the week, and our annual Book Week Parade. Our Book Week parade shall be held on Friday August 28th, from 9:10am in the school gym. Parents and families are welcome to attend.
On this day we invite students to be creative as they embrace the theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, and dress as their favourite literary character. We look forward to seeing you there!
