School Values Survey

The Wellbeing Team at Moonee Ponds West PS is currently undertaking a review of our school values to ensure they resonate with our vision of "We think, create and learn together". Through meaningful discussions among staff and students, we've identified potential new values to complement / replace our existing ones.

We're excited to extend this conversation to our valued student families. We kindly ask you to spare a moment to complete a brief survey, where you can prioritise these values according to their significance to you and your child. We are looking forward to capturing as many responses as possible.

Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships.

Topics for Term 3 include:

  • Stress Management
  • Help seeking

This week, students will start learning about stress and how this can be managed. Stress is an important part of life, especially as children get older. Assisting students to recognise their personal signs and symptoms of stress and to develop strategies to help deal with these effectively, will help them cope with challenges in the future.

Students will be encouraged to identify calming strategies they can use when they are faced with stress, some examples are below. You might like to talk to your child/ren about the strategies they have identified as using when they are feeling stressed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s classroom teacher.
