Last Chance to enter ABC Heywire Storytelling Competition

ABC Heywire, is a national storytelling competition for young people aged 16–22 living in regional, rural and remote Australia.

Entries close 1st September, 2026.

We’re looking for honest stories about real experiences. No need to be a polished writer – just a story worth telling.

Winners receive:

- Their story produced and featured by the ABC.

- An all-expenses-paid trip to the Heywire Regional Youth Innovation Summit in Canberra

- The opportunity to help shape positive change in their community.
