The Parents & Friends Committee are continuing to raise money for more playground equipment.  They will be  holding two fundraising ‘Treat Days’ during Term 3.  The first will be a donut day on Friday 14th August.  Donuts will cost $1 and parents can send money in from Friday 31st July through to Friday 7th August.

100 DAYS OF PREP

On Friday 7th August, we are celebrating the Prep students completing 100 days of school. We are asking that students dress up as if they are 100 years old!  Some dress up ideas may be grey hair spray, hair rollers, old shirts, glasses, walking sticks or suspenders etc.

The day will consist of a parade which we invite parents to join us for.  After the parade the students will enjoy a day of fun activities to celebrate all their hard work at school so far.  If you have any questions please check with your child's teacher.

PORTABLES UPDATE

Parents will have noticed that over the holidays, work continued on our Portables. The ramps to our existing Year 4 classes were replaced  and are now in full use.  We also had two extra classrooms delivered onsite and a set of toilets.  Both these buildings still have final works to be completed on them, before new paths are laid nearby and all the portables are connected to the PA system.

Every year schools complete the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). It counts the number of students who receive adjustments or “help” at school because of a disability. The NCCD helps the government and schools plan for the needs of students with a disability. For further information click on the link NCCD Information Sheet.

CHILD SAFETY - TERM 3 INFORM AND EMPOWER PROGRAM

Gallery Image

During August our students will once again be working with our Cyber Safety experts Carly and Marty from Inform and Empower.  These online workshops are an important element of the school’s commitment to each student’s digital safety and wellbeing.    Students in Prep - Year 2 will be exploring how to stay safe in digital spaces.  Students in Years 3 - 6 will focus on cyberbullying and navigating uncomfortable online situations.

An important element of this program is the “Parent & Carer Tip Sheet” that comes out every term. This information enables parents to have conversations at home about the cyber topics covered at school this term.   Below are this Term’s Tip Sheets:
