Dear families,

NAPLAN Results

If you have a child in Year 3 or Year 5, you will have recently received your child's individual NAPLAN report. Having reviewed the results, I've been delighted to see so many students achieving their personal best and demonstrating the progress they have made in their learning.

At a whole-school level, NAPLAN is one of several measures used to evaluate school performance by assessing student achievement and growth in literacy and numeracy against national benchmarks. I'm proud to share that our 2026 NAPLAN results are the strongest I have seen in recent years and reflect the significant progress our school has made.

These results are particularly pleasing given the extensive work that has gone into strengthening teaching and learning across the school over the past few years. While we are proud of what has been achieved, we also know our improvement journey is far from complete. As we continue to refine classroom practice and build on the strong foundations now in place, I am confident that our best results are still ahead of us.

Athletics Day

How wonderful was it to see our students competing at our Athletics Day last Friday? Special shout out to Mathew Doric our P.E teacher who put together an exciting and well organised day. There were so many smiles from both parents and students all throughout the morning. One thing I noticed is that high jump techniques have changed a lot since I was in school. My back hurt just from watching some of those amazing flips the kids could do!

FREE Happy Hearts Playgroup

Families with children aged 0-5 years are invited to join the Happy Hearts Playgroup at Homestead Community & Learning Centre.

Children can enjoy stories, songs, crafts, toys and play-based activities while parents and carers connect with other local families in a welcoming environment.
